Wait, is it still porting if you build it from the ground up as something simply inspired by a thing from AoT? For example, you wouldn't call the hookshot add-on a "port" from Ocarina of Time.

It isn't in my book. A port is when an entity (let's say a sword, I dunno) is ripped out of the game and fixed to use in another game.

Idk. I think it probably is different since they're two games from the same developer. I was just throwing it out there.

If it uses the EXACT SAME model/sound/etc, then it would be a port.

If it is slightly different/different sound/etc, then it would be fine, IMO.

Technically, it is a different item, but at the same time, it's just a retextured/remodeled/recolored/rewhatever'd version of the item, and people will usually catch on. Including Badspot, who will still kick your ass.

Thats, atleast I think, comparable to taking the Gun weapon from Blockland and recoloring it, pazam, you have a new weapon thats totally all yours.
