Ok lets stop talking about my mom

Ok lets stop talking about my mom
oh shut up, you're the one who brought it up, so don't expect people not to talk about her.

that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard
"There is a huge chance you might hurt someone, but I'm not going to take away your gun until you hurt someone" what????

There is no gun involved, read his post. He's saying they can't take her away just because she's mentally disabled. Idk why he's putting this information in a gun thread, but that's what he's saying.

You started it.

My mother is Bipolar and the police can't take her away because they say that its her right

Well no stuff, its just being bi-polar. Its not like its something cripplingly disabling, which would require her to have active help.

I Think the Normal Citizen should not be able to Bear Arms, Yes I know this is breaking the Bill of rights. But back then we needed Arms for Food and so on, Now days there is not much of a use for it.

The only Purpose of the Arm: To takedown a target

Good thing guns aren't used for hunting, fun, and protection nowadays, what are we, archaic?

Ikr, stupid recreational shooting.

God forbid someone breaks into your home!!! I hope you're good with your fists!

Sport is not needed? Do you even olympics?

Fun isn't needed? Just because you don't want to shoot guns at targets and clay pigeons means that they should be banned?

The two main purposes of owning a gun are to hunt, and for protection. Keep in mind, many Americans hunt for food in rural areas and that is the way of life. Some Americans also live in very impoverished neighborhoods, where the chance of them living tomorrow is 50/50 - this is where a firearm becomes useful. I do not think that heavy automatic weapons should be allowed, but other guns should be. I also am a firm believer in heavy mental background checks and criminal background checks in order to obtain a gun permit and to purchase a firearm.
