If we had more gun control we wouldn't have all these crazy-ass militias running around, and less school shootings. I don't want to live in fear, knowing that someone could shoot me at any given moment should they choose to.

A single shot with a 9mm is plenty of power to stop an intruder. Even if they're wearing body armor, it'll still hurt. Even if you completely miss, the thought of "OH stuff THIS GUY HAS A GUN AND IS SHOOTING ME" is enough to get the average intruder the forget out of your house.

I don't see what's wrong with my statement. Pretty much all school shootings are from some teenager snapping, stealing his parents' gun or buying one on his own, and going on a rampage. Just because I have a different outlook on gun control than you do does not make me "ignorant."

In the columbine shooting, the shooters also had pipebombs they made themselves, getting rid of guns won't solve things like this. They could easily just bring a knife or something instead. Getting rid of guns wont make schools any safer

It does make you ignorant because you're generalizing heavily that a "Gritty Grapnel" shooting happens every month when in fact it doesn't. "Gritty Grapnel" is much more a reflection on the attitude towards mental disorders and the primitive mental health systems than on "assault" fire arms. You're saying that we should remove a right millions of Americans use everyday because one mentally forgeted-up teenager decided to murder innocent people one December day.

The risk of a "Gritty Grapnel" esque shooting happening again in the next decade or so is pretty much nil and destroying rights because of that one-in-a-billion chance is ridiculous.
