The thing is you don't have to say it, nor am I saying you think it. The logic of humor is that people find these things funny to joke about no matter what it is.

By that logic no one can make jokes about natural disasters because there is some line drawn in the sand that states "this is not okay to joke about." Which makes dark humor off limits. You're implying that this joke is specifically off limits because they were victims, but there are jokes about terrorism and gang violence and you don't even bat an eye.

Except the joke was not directly targeting the death of people?
The second part you neglected was obviously a reference to the two shooting cases in Florida where two people died but nobody is laughing at them either? They're making a joke about taking caution against white people because the same stuff happens to us on a regular basis.
