the only reason I want it to be out is so that Valve can get back to working on Source 2 and then HL3

It'd be cool to have one
Probably don't need one but regardless it'd be cool I guess.

i have no idea what form of logic this is supposedly following

When they release and stop developing the Steambox they can refocus their resources towards developing Source 2, and then Half-Life 3.

Although something tells me the team who are developing Source 2 aren't the same people who develop the Steambox, and they're not even necessarily the people who will develop HL3.

is valve comprised of four people nowadays or something

iirc valve has said they have tons of different projects going on at the same time, so it's probable source 2 is currently in the works

well what I'm thinking is
since they're releasing a new console, why not release a new engine with it?
and what valve usually does is makes a half life game as a kind of "test" to the engine
they did it with Half-life 1 for the GoldSource engine and they did the same with HL2 for the Source engine so I'm suspecting HL3 will be the first game on the Source 2 engine.

I dont understand, Half life 2 is garbage enough, why make a sequel. The whole game is wandering around until you find your way because there are no waypoints and the game doesnt explain stuff. The whole game is a confusing pile of macabre doodoo diarreha dogstuff.

No, the first game on Source 2 is most likely Left 4 Dead 2 or 3. This was established a very long time ago, in the same leak regarding Source 2 to begin with.

Uhm, except it's not, and it sounds like you're just stuff at playing what is a fairly simple game.
Or you're just trying to get an outraged response.

both seem applicable

they've already had 2/3 of a sequel

will the sequel be called HL2: Episode 3 or just Half-Life 3?

uh no, i litterally spent an hour trying to figure out what to do in ravenholm

one time i got stuck in Highway 17 because i forgot where i left my car
that area with the giant magnet thing

How does this equate to a stuff game? I do not follow your logic.
Besides, there is usually a breadcrumb trail, (for lack of a better term), on where to go next.
