Of course it was, would you want to go to the theater to see a movie about some guy floating around the world cleaning his ship from animal turds all day?

Emma Watson's still hot, so I could watch Noah.

Go for it!

I heard Noah was actually pretty good though and could possibly be seen as having an anti-God message overall. Haven't watched it myself to say so myself though.
Not really. There wasn't much interaction by God. Basically the only things God is directly credited with doing was creating the world, expelling Adam and Eve from Eden, corrupting the angels who went to help men (they became rock giant things) and causing the flood.

There's a lot more attributed to God solely by Noah, who claims God gave is testing him. It was things like Noah believing that God had chosen to kill all humans and that his family weren't supposed to reproduce, but that was never actually shown to be true. Noah had come to those conclusions himself.

The film was decent, but just too different from the original to be great.

For example, World War Z is a pretty good zombie film, but it is nothing like the book and if you've read the book it's difficult to ignore that fact.

Noah is a pretty good film, but it is so different from the Biblical story. Had you not known the story then it would be a lot better. But most people have grown up knowing the story of Noah and the Flood, so it's constantly in the back of your mind.

Why even make a movie about the story if you're going to change it up so much?

the movie was bad anyways

Because they saw potential.
Seems pretty obvious to me if you ask me.

Well in my opinion, that potential was not met

The thing about Noah's ark that pissed me off was that it was just a big box.
It was completely useless as a ship. They send off Ravens and Doves to search for land while at sea at one point in the film, but should they come back with signs of land, what use would that even be if you can't even sail/row towards it?

To be fair they had built a small raft at that moment in the film, but it was still useless for the larger ark and all it's animals.

Also, everyone seemed to have the issue regarding reproduction in that there weren't enough partners for everyone.
They just seemed to ignore the concept of the mother being fertile, because presumably incest wasn't acceptable.

Despite the fact that they were happy for the sons to shag their nieces.

except noah wasn't even remotely close to the biblical version
This soooo much
I haven't seen son of god though
