Author Topic: FTHC Weaponry - (Taking Requests - Colt Python - NEW)  (Read 14563 times)

This is my first Blockland weapon model pack.
I'm using sketchup to create it (which I will then export to milkshape)
I'd like to thank Phanto, his Fallout weapons inspired me to use sketchup, a tool which I am very familiar with to create these.
Please do not rate.
If you're going to leave a negative comment, at least tell me how to improve it.
I am relatively new to modelling weapons in blockland, so constructive criticism is really appreciated!

It's pretty good so far. I like it!

Looks great for a first model. I'd love to see it finished in game.

It's ugly just like you

I'm conflicted over it. It has a gravity-cat feel about it, but then the trigger says Blockland weapon.
So either it needs to be like 10% blockier, or the trigger needs to be replaced

are you talking about the uncoloured trigger or the trigger's "shell"?
Because I'm undecided what to do with the trigger's shape.

I think the trigger itself needs a bend in it instead of a single block.

Other than that, looks nice and simple.
Offtopic: Lel sketchup

just finished it, going to take some in game screenshots :)

You can model Blockland with sketchup? Oh stuff I better start modeling

Yep, there's a handy guide here-

Guys its 3:15am and the addon wont load in the server, there's no problems in the console so I'm just going to go to bed and deal with this b/s tomorrow :'(

if this is finished it looks weird with the trigger being at the very end of the rifle

if not, then really cool please finish

(yes I can read the title)

The picture's are outdated obviously. I'll be uploading more today.

update:

Just went back and re-did some stuff, gave it a few more features to make it look nice.

At the moment I'm struggling with a bit at the back, it wont create a face, I'm trying to find out the problem.
Once I've sorted that out, it'll be complete :)

Hopefully looking to make a weapon pack from this, if anyone wants to help it'd be appreciated. I need someone who knows how to script well!

Something about this and 'first model' doesn't add up.

It looks a bit too detailed for blockland, but it looks pretty good otherwise.
Also, the stock looks a bit too low.

Oh, by first model I mean first blockland model.
I've spent a few weeks making building with sketchup for a unity game I'm developing, I've never modelled a weapon before. I can see how what I said is confusing, sorry.

Thanks though, the stock is WIP at the moment, still need to play around with it :)
Taking a break from the M1 and making a 1911 right now. Hopefully when Phanto is online he will help me out with the glitch on the stock.
