Author Topic: i need help with dual monitors  (Read 734 times)

i have the game on one screen, but my desktop picture on the other. Is there any way to change this?
video not soon

are they the same resolution?

What do you want to change it TO?
Yes it is possible to change something but you never told us what you want the end result to be.

probably wants to display the game on both monitors

change it to duplicate, not extend (though this will just show the same thing on both screens)

no i need it to be one big picture, not two of the same

Depends if you have AMD or Nvidia, because that would either be in the Nvidia control panel or AMD control panel.  For AMD you have to create an eyefinity display in order to stretch it across multiple displays, highly recommend both monitors to be the same resolution before doing this.

With only two monitors, it's not even worth it. If it's a shooter of some sort that you are playing, the crosshair will be between the two monitors, and it will be extremely hard to aim. If the monitors aren't the same size, its impossible unless you go into windowed mode and can change the window size to fit both screens, but even then that doesn't exactly help. I'd either get another monitor that is the same size as the other two, or settle with gaming on one monitor like a normal person.

what gpu do you have? i'm doing some searching and a nvidia forum moderator is saying that nvidia drivers don't support spanning a game across two screens (mostly because it's actually not a good idea)

gtx 650

I'm pretty sure you can't game on dual monitors. You need 3 monitors.

The reason for this is obvious, the middle of your screen would be the edges of the two screens, making gaming more irritating rather than immersive.

Dual monitor gaming with a GTX 650, or any other GPU is not practical, nor is it possible. Just use one monitor or get another of the same size.

nvidia doesn't even have native dual monitor support like AMD does
