a lot of smokers, me included, can get anxiety or get paranoid. i still cant comfortably smoke outside my or my friend's their homes, unless i smoke really light stuff. if there is any recent problems im facing in my life i also get super anxious and paranoid until i fix it. it completely ruins the high. not to mention, depending on what weed you smoke, you might eventually have a bad trip. All of my friends and I have had at least one. each a bit different but still a terrible time. the best way to prevent this is to not smoke too much, think of it as drinking alcohol, know your limit from when the buzz turns into being straight up forgeted. dont take huge hits either, its first of all rude if youre passing it around, second of all if you stumble and cough its gonna suckk.
these are just my 2 cents, being high is different for a lot of people. when i wrap up my work and know nothing will be asked of me in the next few hours, hitting a bowl is the best stuff.
if you are a paranoid smoker, you might want to try an indica strain. personally i like sativa enough to deal with the paranoia i get from it however.
