steam not letting me play gta san andreas

yeah so this has been an issue for a while and it's pissing me off
i've done pretty much everything. deleted san andreas from steam and reinstalled, deleted all the files in the san andreas folder, everything

i'm on a mac osx version 10.8
dunno why it's not working. heres what happens
ok so i start it up

- bounces up and down
then this:


forget c'mon i even bought it on xbox because this is so bullstuff, but my paents are always using the TV.

Apple puts in checks on the OS X Installer that makes it fail when it is run on older models. The Mavericks installer is 5GB, which might take a week to install on certain internet connections.

This issue has persisted for a while. It originally started loving up maybe a year ago when I tried to load a custom save file.
Even after deleting all the files it hasn't worked.
Also, no. I just haven't got around to it.
