Author Topic: Political Compass Test?  (Read 7759 times)

I'm closer to people like Nelson Mandela, the Dalai Lama, as well as Gandhi. I'm perfectly fine with this.

i took the test a while back and i'm basically somewhat of a dirty commie

I feel a lot more anti-social than this chart depicts.

wtf i keep going from authoritarian to libertarian i need to make up my loving mind

Seems a bit too far down for what I'd consider myself.

everyone seems to be at the left
more so the green

I'm a pure commie I guess.

This test is loving stupid. The questions aren't even loving political:

If economic globalisation is inevitable, it should primarily serve humanity rather than the interests of trans-national corporations.
The interests of trans-national corporations are the interests of humanity because the corporations are made up of humans. It may not be the entirely of humanity, but the question is slanted anyway. Who the forget would agree with the statement "the interests of the few are more important than the interests of everyone?" If that's how people thought, murder would be legal and prisons would be nonexistant.

I'd always support my country, whether it was right or wrong.
What's that even got to do with your political compass? Being patriotic is irrelevant to how left, right, authoritative, or libertarian you are. It's simply how much pride you have in your country.

No one chooses his or her country of birth, so it's foolish to be proud of it.
Again, that's not a political question. That's more of a philosophical question.

Our race has many superior qualities, compared with other races.
Is this question literally asking "are you tribal?" What the forget good does that do in a test of your political compass? Are they just hugely stereotyping right-wing people as tribals and using that question to see how right/left you are? That's loving offensive no matter how you look at it.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
It's a huge stretch to say that this is asking your position on international wartime politics, but most people wouldn't even interpret this question that way.

Military action that defies international law is sometimes justified.
This is really the only question on this page I can see being linked to your political position. It's asking how tightly bound to the rules military action should be, which is a political opinion.

There is now a worrying fusion of information and entertainment.
This question doesn't even loving make sense, let alone have to do with politics.

I'm not even going to finish taking this test.

I'm not even going to finish taking this test.

1. Profits above all else.
2. Nationalist parties.
3. Anti-Nationalism.
4. Racism is an issue in politics.
5. Wartime politics; see America and the Soviets during WWII.
6. The victors of a war currently decide the punishment; some parties want an impartial panel to decide.
7. Some parties want to censor entertainment that may have political opinions against theirs.

I'm not a politician. I am uneducated when it comes to politics; feel free to critique my post.
