Author Topic: Feminism Is Stoopid (Closed for obvious reasons)  (Read 5079 times)

No, see, a joke is funny. You just said "Seattle is gay". That's not amusing, witty, or clever. It's just unfunny, and if you can't step up your comedy game then don't be surprised when people call you out on it, and no amount of "but i can post whatever i want!" will be able to save you.
I did not just say "Seattle is gay." I was exaggerating (barely) about the number of cigarettes in Seattle. Have you ever been to Seattle? There subway system has rainbows on it. Perhaps you have never been there? I have and there were like 4 mexicans working on the new tunnel. That's it.

Okay, I doubted it a bit at first, passing him off as just another troll, but after that above post OP is most definitely a cigarette.

idk about you but I prefer my humor to be less brain-dead.

I like feminism. I no longer have to be nice to girls, I can now joke around with them more openly, I no longer have to give up anything for them/help them out carrying anything. It's glorious.

From a business perspective one of the reasons you see fewer women in executive positions and making lower wages for the same job is the much higher likelihood of a woman to leave the workforce to start a family and potentially never rejoin, and if they do come back to continue their career they are often essentially starting from a point as if they were a new hire. Women who want to rise the corporate ranks often have to sacrifice family building. This is especially prevalent in fields that are based on clientele services and management. If you leave the job then you have to transfer your clients over to someone else and you basically start over if you wish to reenter.

You could argue that more men should step up as the primary caregiver for children in a family, but there is still the current social stigma against men not being the main income source and that men are less capable of caring for children in general; this is especially a problem if you chose to do things like breast feed your child for the health benefits as obviously men cannot do that and it's not always guaranteed a woman will be able to just pump and store breast milk as fresh is always better and her body may not respond in the same way as if she had the cues from her child actually feeding off her breast[citation needed]. Then there's all the rhetoric on how breast-feeding is inherently anti-feminist and it's a whole mess of complex issues that you can't just glue down and stereotype people against because everyone has different circumstances and motivations in life. :iceCream:

i can make that happen for say, 20?

condoms and birth control and if you really messed everything up you can get an abortion

We could blame this on a number of things, including lack of loveual education, popular negative belief towards use of condoms, religious bias against contraception, there's tons of reasons that unplanned pregnancy exists, of course, that's another social issue, isn't it?

Not to mention there's this thing called child support. Men have to pay that too. Which means they need a high paying job to make sure they get that money in on time, or it's lockup. This is the only unplanned pregnancy option availablea for men, btw. Cough up or lock up.

I like how you're still avoiding the education point too.

unbelievable. how else would you explain the motive for a crime? pls enlighten me
Typo on my part, meant 'justify'

You're trying to make male homicide seem irrelevant / justify it as a result of some magical male nature while simultaneously dodging the question of where this male nature ever came from.

Men are more likely to be a part of organized crime / gangs and this is because of the society they grow up in. With organized crime and gangs comes homicide. This is not rocket science. This is a gender bias issue, you can't scoff at 80/20 disproportion.

no. you say gender roles affect your decision to get a dangerous job
well. surprise surprise, they don't. nobody has ever been made fun of for not taking a construction job or whatever other dangerous job.

Men are less likely to enroll in college and get further education for a number of reasons, the most evident factor being that they just simply need money on hand at the time and can't waste any more time in school. They often get trapped into child support, or they feel the need to provide for their family, or their partner, etc.

They also may not be able to afford an education, college scholarships are overwhelmingly given to females over males.

at MOST, you could say that there are less accidents involving women, because less women get hired for those jobs. which sorta turns the whole situation around so I doubt you'd want to acknowledge that

What are you talking about? Are you saying that women are superior or some garbage because they end up in industrial accidents less? That could be a number of reasons. They could be more cautious, or they could be cowards handing off the dangerous work to men. I don't get what you're trying to tell me with this stuff.
