also, try camstudio but it'll probably be slow too depending on your specs and settings for quality

it looks like a false positive if you're using MBAM since nothing else is bundled with it

it also seems to occur with other AVs like AVG too but I assure you there isn't any crap bundled with it as far as I know

obs works rather well

Seconding Open Broadcaster Software. It's designed for streaming but you can output to a file and after fiddling with the settings. I actually like it better than Fraps. Smaller files too! (With pretty good quality but if you have the hardware you can write uncompressed video.)

What I'm trying to tell you is that recording is hard on a GPU. I can barely record a session of Blockland with a GTX 660, and that's overclocking it.
