so yeah. any of you guys tried it?

i'm really weird. most of my dreams become lucid at some point, because i just realize something doesn't make sense. so for example i am in my friends car and they go on a rampage and run over a ton of people, i realize pretty quick that is it a dream. or if any nightmarish stuff happens. however i cannot control anything in my lucid dreams, other than myself. i can't change the scenery or become god or anything like that, i'm just a person. however i can trigger myself to wake up, i do this by twisting my torso left and right really fast, trying to move my body as much as possible. pretty soon i wake myself up, and i realize i'm moving irl.

i've stopped a lot of nightmares by just waking myself up. i don't really know how i do it.

also i had sleep paralysis a few weeks ago. i woke up in bed but i couldn't move anything but my eyes. i had a window over my bed and it was filling the room with light, so it wasnt creepy or anything. i was just stuck in place, lying there. i heard these weird noises, coming from what appeared to be inside my head. i thought it was chanting, like a bunch of pagans singing inside my brain. it was really hard to make out though, and i'm glad the room was full of light or else that could've been really scary. after 5 or so minutes of that i managed to get up, mostly because i was just trying to kick my legs around and eventually i managed to regain control.

I found drawing instead of writing about patterns works better

they're still rare but usually one every couple of days

i always lucid dream i just cant control them
like one time i had a dream that i was in school and my dad was picking me up and there was a dragon or something and i was like 'haha this is a dream'

not a lucid dream then. Well i could try to have lucid dreams again if i really really tried but im too tired to do that. But yea i've had a couple.

whenever i lucid dream i end up trying to change too much and then i wake up :(

I've had lucid dreams before. Whether I have control or not is the question.

I'd say about 97% of the time, I have no control.

Sometimes I'll realize it's a dream then I'll just be like "oh, okay" and go with it. For some reason I never think to start changing stuff, even though I know I can.

yes it is. a lucid dream is any dream in which you realize you are awake. it is not a dream you control.

I always remember shouting "forget YOU DREAM" every time I end up dreaming and it ends, because dreaming often makes me wake up late. I've only ignored the lucidity 2 or 3 times, and those were dreams involving dragons.

i havent had a nightmare for years and years now
i believe i am lucky
