actually multiple people died

apparently this is the guy and hes trying to change all of his information on facebook

christ. i dont know if this is real but whoever's information this is is forgeted

Apparently two cops walked into a McDonalds joint and arrested two reporters. An Al Jazeera news crew was also hit with tear gas by the police, and had their cameras dismantled.

Seriously, I'd be on the police's side for the most part IF THEY WEREN'T TARGETING JOURNALISTS.

the people that want the cops info released need to shut the forget up
guilty or not, releasing his info would basically be a death sentence, but its ok because he's white (im guessing). right guys?

Everybody just needs to calm their mini-fridges.

Cool their beans.

Settle their silly putty.

Chill their cheesy puffs.

Basically I'm trying to say they all need to calm down.

The SWAT teams are just looking more like scumbags to me. Purposefully targeting the press? Well forget them. No one side is "good" but I sure as hell know the SWAT teams aren't.

That is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Al Jazeera is hated by soooo many goverments apparently. The same stuff happened to them in Gaza a few weeks back lol

forget the press, are you kidding? They're the ones make it an issue in the first place and spreading it throughout an ignorant public.

> people not taking the side of the cops
> justify it as racism
> use "eyewitness accounts" as their proof

Well the saying only believe nothing of what you hear and half of what you see is going such a looooong way.

Who knows what that kid was going. He could've assaulted the officer for all we know. "Eyewitnesses" could be supporting the kid because they don't like whites or the cops in the area. Who knows what really happened.

what are they going to do exactly? go to his door step and kill him?

or are they just going to spam him with pizza. because its not hard to call the local pizza and tell them to ignore that address.

You do not target loving reporters. Say what you will about the media and how it forgets things up but you do not just fire tear gas canisters at reporters who are just filming. If you do that then you deserve whatever comes your way.

There's a reason freedom of the press is specifically stated in the Bill of Rights.

Also typing on a phone is terrible. Excuse my spelling.

As much as you hate it, free press is what seperates a country like this from a dictatorship.

this, pretty much. With most news sources, at least. I think what they're trying to do now is get rid of the sources of the problem, by not only redirecting things like media and such but also by tear gassing large groups of people (like seen in a bunch of videos), as well as raising up the level to use beanbag/rubber bullet weapons (which aren't lethal but hurt like forget from what i've seen). But i'm not saying ALL news sources should be considered bad. some are actually pretty useful, but the bad ones make the largest impact, making them well known.

let me get a quote from the cop story a couple pages back;
Quote
So what if I had killed him?
Well, the cell phone videos would be out. The media would report, initially, the most simple version of the story:
Townsville Metro Police Kill Man Wielding Toothbrush.
Reddit is pretty quick with things like this, so shortly thereafter on the front page:
Police officer MURDERS man over ninja turtles toothbrush.
The initial news headline would play out for a bit, until they got a few more details.
Townsville Metro Police Shoot Young Black Man Wielding Toothbrush.
Another media outlet, upset that they didn't get the initial scoop, goes with something a bit more sensational to grab the media consumer's attention:
Townsville Police Kill Unarmed Young Black Man.
There you have it. The average media consumer's opinion has already been formed by the headline - many won't even bother to read the story. Even if they did, the story will contain the most basic of details. Cops shoot guy, guy only has toothbrush.
