Author Topic: ferguson police tear gas peaceful protesters  (Read 31552 times)

You do not target loving reporters. Say what you will about the media and how it forgets things up but you do not just fire tear gas canisters at reporters who are justing filming. If you do that then you deserve whatever comes your way.
There's a reason freedom of the press is specifically stated in the Bill of Rights.
Reporters are scum. They're there to make money off the issue and blow it up as much as possible. Whatever happens to them is fully deserved.

Rights can be limited during martial law and times of crCIA.

it isnt martial law
and as much as i hate the sensationalist media we really shouldn't be restricting their right to record it, thats a really slippery slope

it isnt martial law

I also said times of crCIA. Read before you post.

i did
you really shouldnt put the two together and i already said why they shouldnt be restricted

That does not give you the right to break the law and prevent people from speaking their mind or reporting the news any way they put it.

But they can restrict rights. If people are going to start civil unrest then they will have to sever rights in the area. If you don't want your rights taken away, then don't loving riot and destroy stuff.

>implying the police will never do anything wrong

I'm not talking about the reporters. And besides, if someone tells you that you shouldn't be in an area due to the high risk, you probably shouldn't be in that area. Until they have a nice controlled situation, then you should go in and do all the reporting you want instead of being all gung ho and forget da police.

how does that relate at all

there's also the unintentional incitement to riot.

the main reason this entire riot got so out of hand was because of the "cop shoots black kid while kid was begging for mercy on his knees"  then people just eat it all up and use it as an excuse to riot and loot stores before burning them down. and then the media continues on with the "people are protesting on the streets for the death of a black kid who was unarmed and shot by a cop, also five UNARMED BLACK MEN KILLED FOR PROTESTING!!!!" and even more people eat it up, using it as an excuse to riot

then the next big headline you see is "police kill over ten unarmed black men who were peacefully protesting in ferguson!!!!" and you get even more people rising up against the so-called 'cop menace'.
>implying the government will never do anything wrong
>implying the police will never do anything wrong
>implying that was the point of the post

My point is, his point is moot because nothing's perfect and will have flaws.

if people were civil and just let the justice system do what its made to do this wouldnt even be an issue
