my point is, the press will do anything they can to get the most amount of views, and using it as your own source you really need to rethink your strategy
if trayvon was portrayed as a "young thug" (as he could easily be) there wouldnt be nearly the amount of views that "innocent black teen" being gunned down would get

People have a right to free speech and the press has a right to not be censored by the government. These rights are garunteed by The Bill of Rights. That's all I'm going to say.

i agree with you completely and that right shouldnt be infringed upon at all, but the press are a bunch of scumbags

i dont see why it should matter if their scumbags

there's also the unintentional incitement to riot.

the main reason this entire riot got so out of hand was because of the "cop shoots black kid while kid was begging for mercy on his knees"  then people just eat it all up and use it as an excuse to riot and loot stores before burning them down. and then the media continues on with the "people are protesting on the streets for the death of a black kid who was unarmed and shot by a cop, also five UNARMED BLACK MEN KILLED FOR PROTESTING!!!!" and even more people eat it up, using it as an excuse to riot

then the next big headline you see is "police kill over ten unarmed black men who were peacefully protesting in ferguson!!!!" and you get even more people rising up against the so-called 'cop menace'/
lets try and keep discussion on topic
this thread isn't about how the press are scumbags
true

Uh no... people can't be trusted, tis why we limit rights. You forget stuff up, you pay the consequences. If you forget up as a community, you pay the price as a community.

do you realize its a right to know whats happening in your country?

Not my point, drunk driving and rioting are two different things. It's not like drunk driving can devastate an entire city in a day.

do you realize its a right to know whats happening in your country?

People are acting like stuff heads and rioting. So yeah, I do.

yeah! no reason for updates, then
why are the protestors and the rioters allowed to document this (keep bias in mind) but the news cant?

Because it's pretty hard to control an entire city of madmen and women and it's easy to control small caravans of news reporters.

Think about it for a while, let it sit, and come back to me.

talk about flip-flopping to seem like your right

this is what happens when you give people too much freedom and it goes up sky in their brain

talk about flip-flopping to seem like your right

I'm generally leftist, but I know the difference between right and wrong, and rioting is a big wrong.

Then how the forget should I trust the government? They're made up of people too, right?
