Kind of related.

I'm planning on going to Embry Riddle Aeronautical College. Currently taking a college class for Embry Riddle at my high school, i'll be getting 3 credits for it and each credit at embry riddle is $1200 so that's nice.

i considered embry riddle, but there are too many mixed reviews so i cant get a clear idea of how good the college is, plus it's really expensive.

Where are you going now? (Probably already posted in the thread already but too lazy to go back)

i like having a community college down my street from me.

way cheaper to get gen eds out of the way there then going to a university or something.

My roommates got into a group message on fb today finally to discuss who's bringing what, and they're bringing bongs.

I wish I could but I could literally teach classes at CCBC if I wanted.

that's kinda the thing. go for whatever suits yourself. i just happen to live by one of the best community colleges in the country and it's not bad of a drive there and back at all.

plus i already have 14 credits from my highschool tech classes transferred over there so why not make use of them!

Anybody considering going Greek?

Need opinions:
There is a community college fairly close that offers gen ed and fundamental engineering classes or i can try and get into UMASS and get into their engineering program.

Community College would allow me to work and it would cost less.

UMASS has a decent Engineering program but my parents arent sure they can afford to send me.

Once CE I spoke to said that he thinks I should go to the community college

get scholarships/grants bro

I went to a community college for two years to get all my core classes for engineering (Calc I, calc II, Calc based Physics, Chemistry, Machine Shop, etc.) and spent less than 10 grand for all four semesters combined. I really think the community college got me better prepared for the actual program my last two years. I mean yeah the full experience of college life and social aspect of college isn't included when you go to a community college but I believe you'll be way better off financial and education wise.

I have to take these but not limited to just these for what I want to do later:

Computer Science
Calculus I
Calculus II
Calculus III
Calculus IV
Physical Math
Statistics
Physics I
Physics II
General Chemistry I
SAT test (ACT and PSAT required, but those are done now)

Yea but even if I got all the scholarships my sister got my tuition would still be 40 - 50k

Im really considering community college but its such a nerd/loser fest there. Plus again, the social aspect at UMASS would be a lot better. Ugh this is hard. Still submitting my app to UMASS though. I guess if I can get into the honors program and into the honors dorms I'd def. go to UMASS.

Think about what's best for the future brah. Living in the moment is great but in the end your future matters most. Being 50 grand extra in debt from taking classes you could pay 2 grand a semester for somewhere else isn't always the best option.

Hah, have you ever even smoked before? It's college now, you've gotta take an obligatory bong rip at least once.
Ya, but only once tho.  My friends and I are able to get drinks easier than weed usually.
