Author Topic: College thread (OP actually somewhat updated)  (Read 39518 times)

my school doesn't have a mascot but i guess you can just put me down as "art school student" lol

DRENDREN WHAT THE forget? You were at Albany? I graduated last year we should have hanged out or something...
Wait what the forget? YOU were at Albany!?

Also OP the Maryland mascot is a Terrapin

Honestly the biggest reason I'm going into marketing is because my mom does it.
She makes upwards of 160k, has great benefits, travels around the world, and she's basically paid to do all the things I enjoy doing (digital design, photography, make public statements about company progress and items, etc)

I know most of her co-workers, a lot of her bosses, I've been on one trip to Europe with her where I met a HUGE amount of people, and overall I just really like the job.

But for someone that doesn't know what they wanna do, I guess you're best bet is just to consider what makes you happy, and do that. Maybe it doesn't make you a millionaire, but if you're happy in your job then what does it matter?

Also OP the Maryland mascot is a Terrapin
My fault, don't blame OP. I've been doing all of the early stuff, Dodger has just recently been filling stuff in without my help. I was worried he wouldn't know how to update the table, cause it's a little complex, but I think he's got it.

is your freshman 15 going to be 15 women or more?

I've actually lost a bunch of weight since starting a couple inches of my waist, but my richard has gained a few inches ;)

Also add me to the topic post

East Stroudsburg University the mascot is Warriors and class of 2016

Ill be transferring to Rutgers University - New Brunswick in like two years. So far but so closeeeeee

University of Wales Trinity Saint David; Lampeter Campus

Oh yeah, living at a 192 year old university.
I was born in the city home to the oldest university in the English world, and now go to the third oldest in Britain.

I'll be studying Ancient and Medieval (European) history for 3 years, with hopes to stay on for at least a Masters.
I got in with an unconditional offer too.

I don't have a timetable yet.
But these are my first year modules;

Compulsory

Skills for Academic Study (20 Credits): This module is the essential introduction to the requirements of university level education.
Defenders, Conquerors, Vanquished: Greek and Hellenistic History (20 credits): Introduction to the history of the Greek world from the Persian Wars to the battle of Actium.
From Village to Empire: An Introduction to the History of Rome (20 credits): Covering the history of Rome from the regal period to Late Antiquity.
The Middle Ages: from Alfred the Great to the Reformation (20 credits): An introduction to the history and sources of the Medieval period.
Knights and Castles (20 credits): This module explores the importance and impact of knights in society.

Optional (Choose 1)
Reading Antiquity: A Survey of Ancient Literature (20 credits): An introduction to the study of Greek and Roman literature through a survey of the genre from the Archaic period to Late Antiquity.
Athens and Rome: Life and Culture in Classical Antiquity (20 Credits): Introducing aspects of culture and society in Athens and Rome, from theatre to warfare.
Classical Mythology and Art (20 Credits): This module introduces students to Greek and Roman mythology and its uses in art.
Learning, Knowledge and Education (20 credits): This module explores the philosophy and theory of education and how it affects practice.
Historical and Contemporary issues in Education (20 credits): The module introduces students to key educational reformers and philosophers in the 21st century.
Introduction to Fieldwork (20 credits): This module gives you the chance to take part in fieldwork

Every course has to gain 60 credits for the year. All first years have to take the "Skills for Academic Study" course.
Each course has 2 compulsory modules. Then you have to take 3 more modules of your choice.
I'm taking a dual-course though, so I have to take the 2 compulsory modules from both of them, leaving me with room for 1 optional module.

I'm thinking I'd like to do "Athens and Rome: Life and Culture in Classical Antiquity".
Most courses offer optional modules from similar courses too, hence me having a choice of a History module and an Archaeology module.

You're ready for college :^)

Apparently UMD only has like a small amount of actual drinkers but I find that incredibly hard to loving believe.  I'm positive lots of the people who take AlcoholEDU lie about their usage.

So we have this clock tower on campus that has a glockenspiel... It does different things at different times and it has a bunch of monitors on it, but look at what it does at night-
