I am thankful for owning a multi-billion dollar tycoon, having a beautiful blonde prop wife, having 5 kids who are all off to the Ivy League, and I am also thankful for owning 3 Maserati's and a Bugatti.

After I applied, I called everyday for half a year before they have me a job.
You gotta be persistent.

I'm thankful for being white.

I might even check my privilege today.

That's the point? What are you trying to accomplish by pointing out the obvious?

take anything you can get

I appreciate the advice.

I know I'm not really in the position to do this, but I refuse to work in fast food or packing again. They were horrible experiences, they don't pay enough and after speaking to hiring managers, and I'm not exactly the most *healthy* individual.

I'll see what I can do about applying frequently at the places I'd really want to work at though.

if you do get a job and get banned, name your alt Mcjob.
As soon as I get a job, my first $20 is going towards a new account called McJob, and I'll just switch between the two depending on if I'm working or not.

I have a job interview tomorrow morning myself. Wish me luck~
Good luck dude. Be confident and kick assexcept the employers' ass!

so we need to take less off of you?
What you did there. I see it.

If you're fine with physical labour industrial jobs are always looking for workers.

I was able to land a job after about a week of constant job hunting in the local area. I was pleasantly surprised that I got a job in retail rather than fast food.

In my area they hire in batches, and the next intake won't be until November. :/

I'm really hoping I land a retail or cafe job soon. My favourite teacher told me she wants me to get a job involving "lots of drama". Probably going this Thursday to put in another batch of resumes, after I get it checked to see if there's anything glaringly bad on it that's letting me down.

I dont know the laws in Australia and how tipping works for bartending, but I would say try to become a bartender. Pretty decent tips if you know what to do. If you are REALLY good at it, might be able to make a lot of money. My dad makes a good 40k+ a year, similar pay to what my mom makes as a resort GM. Ofc, this is in AZ, but still.
