Are you running on mac? If so mac doesn't save settings because of some odd bug iirc.
Somehow tweak the profilePath variable to save it in ~/Documents/Blockland.
I haven't figured out a way to do it but a ghetto way of doing it is to replace the Steam blockland launcher with the non-Steam blockland launcher, which defaults to ~/Documents/Blockland rather than the path that Steam uses to save game assets.
Doing chmod and chown won't work.
