I smell a pothead. It's wrong because it's illegal. Are you really THAT thick-headed? I've said this three times now.
Owning a bible is illegal in North Korea.  Does that make it wrong?  I'm not a pothead and don't plan on getting into any drugs, but I think people should be allowed to choose as long as they're well aware of the risks.
growing/selling/smoking a potentially dangerous psychoactive drug =/= 2 dudes getting married
Cigarettes are pretty loving dangerous.  Why aren't they illegal?

because the government doesn't care if people are getting lung cancer and the people around them are endangered as well but they apparently do care if people are tripping in public
i don't make the rules, mate. i just follow 'em

That doesn't change the fact that he was purposely growing illegal drugs for either personal use or for profit, which makes him either a drug addict or a drug dealer.

Both are illegal in his state.
If he had moved to a state where it was legal I'd agree with you but he didn't, and continued to do it in a state where it was illegal and did not care.

Gays who want to marry will often move to a state where it is legal and get married there. Same deal. If they actively try to break the law by say forcing someone to marry them and falsify documents in a state where gay marriage is illegal and they know it that makes them stupid and ignorant too.

the closest thing you could equate a "marijuana trip" to is alchohol. Which is perfectly legal.

alcohol doesn't go into your lungs and give less oxygen to your brain
alcohol just poisons you

I grow tomatos in my backyard because I like to eat them. I guess I'm a tomato addict.
Suppose they illegalized tomatos tomorrow. Am I an immoral for continuing to eat and enjoy tomatoes?

What is your point? it's still a harmful substance

the difference between illegal things and tomatoes
is that tomatoes can't possibly harm you unless you are allergic to them
edit: also do you know the loving definition of an addiction??

we are talking about weed being illegal in an ethical sense

moral its whateves

The comparison to tomatoes makes no sense, to be honest.

the difference between illegal things and tomatoes
what difference? anything can be illegal, so why is someone who does something illegal an starfish? It isn't immoral to grow tomatoes, it isnt immoral to grow marijuana.

As a matter of fact i do. Tobacco and achohol are addictive. Caffeine is addictive. Painkillers are addictive. Having an addiction doesn't make you an starfish.

I'm not arguing for it's legality, quite frankly i dont care either way. I'm just saying that just because it's illegal doesn't make the person involved a bad person

The comparison to tomatoes makes no sense, to be honest.
dreams is just going on a blind argument with no information to back up anything he says
in case this backfires, i have plenty of information to black up my arguments and if it isn't enough i will spend days on end disproving everything

but liking something isnt an addiction, mate
also having an addiction CAN make you an starfish
look what drug addicts will do to get their fix out there

I dont think you're getting the point. An addiction doesn't make you an starfish. Doing something illegal doesn't mean your an starfish.

And what kind of information do i need to back up my arguement lol all of what im saying is an opinion

also having an addiction CAN make you an starfish

Sure it can. Anyone can be an starfish for any number of reasons. it's just that owning/growing/selling drugs doesn't automatically make you an starfish junkie who'd kill for a fix

you make it seem like you're stating it as a fact

I'm just saying that just because it's illegal doesn't make the person involved a bad person
He's a bad person because he specifically chooses to grow it in a state where it's illegal when he can go somewhere where it's legal to do it instead, but chooses not to merely because he doesn't give a forget about the law against it. He's an ass for that. If you try to compare weed to tomatoes again I will kick your ass because one is a food that contains dozens of nutrients necessary for human survival while the other is far from it.

I don't think smoking marijuana harms you
