you really think i adhere strictly to either party's principles? really? political scientist in the making, this one.
it's not a matter of ideologies, it's a matter of realities. i'd love to wake up bright eyed and do all that revolutionizing, but it doesn't happen from without the system, it happens from within. and you can just be a member of a party without being a radical about it. just, you know, dropping that on you.
And why should I be totally right or left wing about it? Nothing ever works properly when it isn't balanced. The problem is that the "system" requires you to follow a side to be able to voice yourself, which would end up being what everyone else is voicing. God forbid you should like ideas from both sides, but no one cares because politics today is literally black and white.
Jesus what the forget happened to compromise anyway. Remember when the US was founded and they all sat in a room and compromised their differences? Sure some of them didn't work, but it got somewhere. Progress was actually made.
