Well when you're one of the most powerful countries in the world you're obviously going to have a very powerful airforce. I was just pointing out that we still use propeller aircraft too.

We'd probably have to fight them with propeller planes because they're too damn slow to be attacked by jet fighters (most of which don't even have guns anymore, they just fire missiles). And the missiles would be even less effective because propeller planes don't have a massive heat source on them like a jet does.

radar guided missiles and Gatling guns still exist on the f22 and f16.
in the Korean War, America didn't use the mustang more than it's f86 fighters purely because north koreas prop planes were too slow.

However yeah, guns were slowly being phased out of jets but are coming back in since missiles don't last forever. But the eurofighter doesn't have a gun so.
