Author Topic: am i the only one who misses the various randomizer servers?  (Read 2907 times)

You can always block off some areas if the map is too large.
Perhaps random areas
hmm...

One thing I disliked about Nickel's and Zix's was that you only got one life per round, meaning that rounds sometimes went on for a very long time. This was less of a problem in Nickel's server, as there were teams & a capture point, but it was still annoying. Infinite respawns are always more fun imo.

I thought I was the only one who thought this

i think it should be 3 lives

i think it should be 3 lives
Multiple lives is horrible and leads to even longer waiting times after your 3 lives are gone.

:(

i liked the one life system, it made you more cautious and resort to tactics like sneaking and stealth as opposed to recklessly flying in trying to blow everyone up.

Yeah seriously.

1 life games are fine, they have their place.
Unlimited life games are obviously nice too.

People don't like anything inbetween, really.

i was an admin on nickels and i have no idea what happened to his server

He didnt get enough money to pay for his server, so he shut it down. D:

I preferred the one-life games.

not to mention people also need a variety of scripts exclusive to zix's server in order to actually run a game, not to mention balancing. you don't know what you're talking about.
Neither do you, apparently. The only script involved was Truce's random weapon script which is publicly available.

i preferred the unlimited lives games.

those were good times

I even made an unlimited lives one once.
"Randomizer Crossword DM"
It was on a cramped arena made to look like, well, a crossword.
Fun times.
