Is this by design? Neither of them are working as they well as when the other was uninstalled. It's loving weird. Does this happen to anyone else?

Uninstall Chrome. That usually helps.

I don't see how Google Chrome is slow though. I am positive it's pretty much the fastest web browser around.

uninstall overwrite your BIOS with useless stuff

well idk why it's doing it. I have firefox and chrome both on my computer but neither one of them is slow
but if it only happens when they're both installed then it sounds like a solution would be to uninstall one of them

It was until I downloaded Firefox.

Solution: Uninstall both browsers. Then install Opera

use the steam browser

Uh Linux users can use any of these browsers.

Chrome used to be faster but now I think it's getting slower.
I switched to Opera because of that.

Solution: Uninstall both browsers. Then install Opera
