Author Topic: So I've been nominated to do the ice bucket challange  (Read 4376 times)

i lost a bet and have to do this naked by the end of the week....
Holy forget what was the bet

ive noticed that this trend no longer seems to be a thing for awareness (do people even know what its for anymore?) or even attention, but just one-upping peoples attempts
It's to raise awareness for ALS. And while people like me may not donate, it's gotten celebrities involved, who are donating a ton of money. So it's still helping.

A girl I dated a really long time ago nominated me on Facebook. While watching her get wet in a swimsuit was appreciated, I declined as I already donated five hundo to the ALS foundation the previous week.
You should probably do the same unless you really want to.
I don't have a hundred dollars to donate.

you win.

I don't have a hundred dollars to donate.
Oh. Then there's really no reason for you to do anything.

Holy forget what was the bet
i was playing rugby and i bet some friends i could tackle this big 220lb+ guy

needless to say i didn't tackle him, but rather i bounced off of him.

Struggling to deal with cold water while others struggle with ALS

shame

I'm new to this fad. Do people just dump ice water on each other?

I've been nominated four times already lol, only did it once and I donated $100

How about you don't because it's a stupid trend lol. Peer pressure is the best, ain't it?

Nah, there's some sort of charity behind it but I honestly don't get why they can't just donate money without doing something dumb first.

Because it raising awareness. Stupid challenge + stupid people + social media + good cause = a lot of money

It's just amusing that people can't even donate to a charity without doing something dumb first.
Altruism isn't supposed to be done publicly. You do good things because you want to do good, not because you want to be recognized for it.

warm yourself back up with thermite afterwards

Put rubber ducks in the ice bucket.

that's actually a good idea.

Tfw never been nominated for this kind of stuff.

Atleast this fad is for something good but last time there was this nomination thing going around it was called neknomination.

Meaning you chug some booze then do some "so random" and record it. I recall a few died from that.
