Is 8th grade high school where you are?
If so talk to everyone and make friends, the worst outcome of starting HS is to not talk to people enough/not go to school for the first few days/week and have everyone already make their friend groups.

Honestly, it would've been okay if I was still in Florida. But the school I was going to sucked richard and the people I ended up being "friends" with were loving handicapped and made the year worse than it should've been.
