There was no mistake, they took every precaution they could. What if he had a gun or something (if the bomb threat was an actual situation)? And it seems like they're in an office style building, so he could be one of a few other people, not necessarily the bomber. The guy who called in the "threat" isn't gonna give detailed information on the situation, just "UH SUCH AND SUCH WHO LIVES AT THIS LOCATION IS PLANNING A BOMB PLS ARREST." The SWAT team has zero information on the person they're arresting most of the time.

ugh. its sad to know we live in a country where this kind of stuff is ALLOWED to happen.

this is exactly why swat teams should not exist. the incident from last month with the swat team nearly killing an innocent 2 year old in its crib also comes to mind. a militarized police force is always a bad thing.

Yep, we should ban swat teams because of a terrible accident. I'm guessing we should also ban appendectomies since sometimes people die under the knife who wouldn't have succumbed to appendicitis anyway?

I still can't quite determine if this story is about the Kootra swatting, it's mentioned in the article as being "brought to national attention", but it's not clear if this kid getting busted is the one who got Kootra swatted. Either way, it's pretty forgetin funny.
