Author Topic: My mom just got the best deal on a bunch of games  (Read 1353 times)

So I just talked with my mom over the phone and she went to a yard sale a day ago. She found 10 Gameboy games & a PSP. The lady there asked for 50 bucks, and mom said she had only 18 bucks.

Guess what? She said take them.

Then AFTER she got in the car, she got like 3 more gameboy games, a Gameboy Advance AND something else I can't quite remember.

Talk about how people are losing sense of game value.

Most of the time during some garage sales, it's mainly just someone trying to get rid of what they see as junk, especially if they're already rich/don't care much for the item. Seems like you got a great deal anyways though, so nice.

I need to go to garage sales more..

Question is, are they good games?

Garage sales can be a great place to find great deals.

We've gotten TONS of legos from garage sales. Image a bin like this (VVVVV) for just $20 full of legos. Awesome. :)

Well you gotta tell us which Gameboy games, or does she still have them with her?

I've always wanted to rip a PSP apart and use it to make a radio controller for robots. It's the perfect shape.

Games were Bart Simpson Escape from Camp Deadly, Power Rangers the Movie, Super Battle Tank, Madden 2001, Ken Griffy Jr Major League Baseball, NBA Jam, Tetris, The Adventures of Star Saver, NFL Football, College Slam, Bo Jackson, Madden 97, Zelda Link's Awakening, Jeopardy, Street Racer, Castlevania Adventure, Tony Hawk Pro Skater (GBA)

some bad, some good

Super Battle Tank, Tetris, Zelda Link's Awakening, Castlevania Adventure(GBA)
these are probably the only ones I'd try out

maybe the rest later

i wouldn't pay more than $12 for this, a great deal of these games are less than decent.

That is so true

you give me ideas...

Dude, don't you know how these stories go? Games sold at garage sales at irresistible prices are almost always haunted.

That's a pretty good deal. I once got a Nintendo 64 in-box, plus 6 games, for ninety dollars at a garage sale. Pretty damn good deal if you ask me.

most of garage sales near here have stuff
you got lucky :c
