Author Topic: Keyboard stopped working  (Read 1252 times)

I accidentally spilled a little bit of coke on my mechanical keyboard. At first I thought none got in since I only spilt a tiny bit on the right side of it but I guess a little bit got into the side near the jump as because none of my keys worked after. I tried turning off my computer and disconnecting my keyboard and reconnecting it and now it sorta works but the t key won't work and the d key only works half the time. The spill was no were near those keys and I got hardly any coke in it. Please help

put it in rice and leave it out at night, asians will come and fix it

really though rice might help, then again you might jam the keyboard with rice...

Yeah, you gotta try and dry it out. The liquid in the board is messing with key commands.
Rice it out and cross your fingers. Keyboards are little bitches.

Also I didn't unplug the keyboard immediately because my mom was bitching at me so I only restarted my computer and turned it off after I went back to my desktop.

So what do I do after it's done drying. Also how long should I leave it?

idk just try it again and see if it works. if not i guess you need a new keyboard.
or just use the one you're typing on now.

how'd you make this thread then
