Author Topic: Somethings wrong with my shaders  (Read 1935 times)

As the title says, theres something wrong with my shaders.

Seems that, i got a new pc wich had some good graphic drivers! (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670), i tested blockland with them, and they could run max shaders without any sign of lag (well, just sometimes when there were very big buildings), but then, the hard disk seemed to have an error, so i had to change to my old hard disk, wich did have blockland, with an old intel graphic drivers, i was hoping for the shaders to work even tough this was a old hard disk..... But seems that i was wrong!

When i tried it with the new graphic drivers i had, it could run the minimum shaders just fine, but then, when i tried the shaders besides minimum the game just said "Blockland.exe Has Stopped Working".

I've tried reinstalling the game and deleting all the files that had to do something with blockland, even delete all my addons, but nothing worked, i tried to check the suggestions some people have done on other posts about this same problem, none of them worked...... So i hope someone can tell me whats going on.

Intel graphics drivers cannot run Blockland's shadows. So that's your issue there.

Ahem, your wrong, remember i told ya i changed the hard disk, so i still had the ati radeon mobility hd graphics i told earlier.

Try updating your drivers.

I dont think thats the problem, it was working fine before i changed my hard disk, so yeah, neither that.

with an old intel graphic drivers

If you switched to a different hard disk with old loving drivers then you have to update your drivers. I think you're confusing the word "card" and drivers. Drivers are the programs that allow you to use the cards to their full abilities. If you went out and bought a new ATI Graphics CARD, which you must have because you don't buy drivers, then upon putting it inside of your machine it probably came with a disk for installing the drivers, or did it by itself. What does this mean? Well you got rid of the hard disk where it saved it's drivers, so here's what I want you to do. Go to this website, where you can download the latest driver for your graphics card: http://www.driverscape.com/download/ati-mobility-radeon-hd-4670 Then download and install the latest drivers for your graphics card. Then try playing with shaders again.

I already installed the drivers, also, i didnt buy a new ATI Graphics Card, i just changed my pc, changed the hard disk, then installed the drivers you just said, and it didnt work, if you want proof, then check this out.

Damn! Noedit! erhm...... fixed that. Sorry for the double post

Okay, theres my console.log, it may have loaded 2 times, thats because i loaded mininum shaders first, and then low ones.

Anyways, i dont really understand whats going on, check the console.log and go to the end, i really didnt understand why the end looks like... just look at it.

Fast question, i have opengl 2.1, is it a opengl error? I just used a GLChecker and it said that my opengl version was 2.1 firegl, well, i think the problem is the opengl after this, but, just asking, would that be the problem? As it lets me freely chose from low to max, but if i choose any of them you know what.

Well the shaders run on OpenGL, and my version seems to be 4.0.0 - Build 10.18.10.3621 however I run Intel hardware so idk how the version compares to AMD

Welp, so far, i think this topic will be locked soon, i found out that my opengl should be 3.3, the only problem is, im trying to find out how to update my opengl... Well yeah, im dont know pretty much everything from a pc, but i kinda know some things.

Based on your console I believe this is the OpenGL driver for you:

However there is an auto-detect option here so you can be sure:
