Seems a bit counter-intuitive that you bash jailbreaking then support rooting. Both are effectively the exact same thing -- jailbreaking is actually even easier because there's a lot fewer iPhone models than there are Android models, so automatic configurations exist for each model and it's literally just plugging your phone in and clicking a button to jailbreak your iPhone.

the screen is so tiny though and it's so heavy. also the screen seems to break super easily.
you should hold one though. its perfect fit for hand and the weight, not to heavy, actually makes it feel like youre holding a solid phone and not some plastic flimsy cover.

also the screen thing. who told you that lie. its the same tech that every other phone uses. gorilla glass

Get a S4, Its specs are vastly superior to what you currently have.

iPhone5/5c is bad(Opinion Guys, OPINION), only because of the OS.
Its so restrictive, try getting a emulator on one and you will hate yourself, the only way to use one correctly is to jailbreak and risk not bricking it.

Also If you can you should look into Cyanogen Mod, it turns any android phone into a better one, by removing bloatware that is bundled with it, a S4 with Cyanogen can get you nearly all the features of the S5, minus the Waterproofing.

I don't have a galaxy but my uncle had one and I usually worked with it all the time, usually I tuned it up for him and removed bloatware, my current phone is a Nokia Lumia 521 (Its a budget phone don't judge me.) running Windows Phone 8.1 Dev Preview GDR1.

TLDR;Get a S4 then try to get Cyanogen Mod.
i'd rather not root my phone

which model. i completely hate the 4/s. way too heavy and bulky. but its a different story with iphone 5/s/c

both of those

bummer. so its just a select few of us that love small and "heavy" phones

I don't actually feel that the iPhone 5/s/c is heavy at all. I like the feel of the construction (feels solid rather than flimsy) but it's pretty much weightless in my hand. Obviously I'm used to it and that's why I prefer it, but yeah.

actually to be honest i dont like the 5c either. the shape is just bleh. the main thing that attracted me to my 5s was the straight edges. i dont like the curve thing thats happening on all the new phones. the iphone 6 is also guilty of this. looks like ill stick to my 5s forever now

sorry for iphone jacking your thread op

ok also i have another small question

so in order to get to the power button on my current phone to try fixing it, i'll have to pop out the screen. how easy would it be to accidentally shatter the screen in trying to do this?

Unless you're planning on throwing it at a wall you'll be fine
