Author Topic: Tri-screen setup: Worth it?  (Read 1794 times)

for gaming you mook
for multitasking its great
i rarely game anymore and even i don't really multitask with my dual setup. all i need is a browser on one monitor and the weather/resource usage on the other. sometimes i'll run media player or services.msc on the other but not often.

use five monitors
its the best you can get but if your desk is too small
use quad

I can't afford quad

From what i heard dual screen doesnt work with games, but tri-screen opens up lots of possibilities. If you do go Tri-screen for gaming, make sure you have a graphics card(s) that can handle it.

8 monitors or nothing loving scrub

I have a second monitor plugged into my laptop. Am I doing it right?

I run dual monitor
Game on one monitor, with other monitor for things like browser, chat clients, netflix, etc

Dual is quite nice, but I'd imagine triple is even better.

You won't be gaming on 3 at one time though with a 7770.

Dual monitors sucked when playing tf2 or something

the cursor would go off the window for a split second, and when you clicked while it was offscreen, it would go off-tab.
it made me lose a looot of tournaments.

Holy loving pagestretch.

For gaming, I'd say no. For multitasking, you only really need two.

Also, replace your TV with a monitor. TVs will always have some form of input lag, a monitor has close to 0.

ITT: a bunch of jealous kids bashing the idea because they can't afford 3 monitors.

My TV actually has no (noticable) lag.

Also, I won't be doing really high end gaming with these monitors. DCS will probably be the most resource intensive thing i run on here, most of it being old games like Halo, YSFlight, Crimson skies, etc. Would it not be able to do these either?
