The Blockheads meet up and decide too many of their people are being killed to sacrifice blood to the mole people. So they go and conquer the remaining Caveheads, whom they use instead as sacrifices.

The remaining Caveheads develop a primitive civil rights organization in protest to the sacrificing. Unfortunately, they lack a unified language and culture and go mostly unnoticed by the Blockheads.

Blockheads invent the bow and arrow, a much more efficient weapon than the spear. As tensions rise between the mole people and Blockheads as both compete for resources and influence. Eventually, the two declare war on each other.
