According to Fred R. Barnard, this picture is worth 2,977,000 words. However, there's only roughly a million words in the English language.

Take that as you will.

No, it's 2977 pictures. By your logic, pictures are worth less than 1 word.

If I was stood in front of it it would be 2977 pictures, but it's just one .jpg image on my screen. Therefore, 1000 words.

Also, all those words might be the same word.

it's worth the collective amount of words each person has uttered since birth

pictures do not talk, therefore this picture is worth no words

guess we can't use a word more than once in the English language gggggg

what about other languages? English isn't the only language

English has the most words of any other language. I guess if you mixed languages, but that wouldn't make any sense.

So what about this one?

It's the same 2977 people, but it's not a picture of pictures; rather a series of pictures put next to each other.

is that supposed to be two middle fingers flipping each other off in front of the sun

To me it's only worth a thousand words.

The file is 602KB, or 602,000 bytes. On the 64 bit platform I'm using right now, that's 75,250 words.
