Author Topic: Hard drive wont stop being stuff part 3: ITS DONE (setting it up though)  (Read 1067 times)

i assure you this will (hopefully) be the last topic i make of this if windows actually loving doesn't hate me after this but it will probably just be posts instead of separate threads

so previously, i found out i got some nasty keylogger called "hot keys hook" which
  • slapped me on a botnet
  • deleted windows essential/optimization files
  • forgeted up my registry
  • possibly stole data
  • slowed my internet and computer down way to much
  • and made me want to loving kill the person who thought this was a good idea to make
now at first, i suspected this to be my hard drive failing/not working, but 1. ive only had it for 2 years and 2. the sounds it was making was loading sounds that windows always makes, skip to about 2 months later and MBAM blocks an IP which is trying to send me to some site full of wwe clips thats in Lithuanian, which is obviously malware, the next day i get home and its Friday and i could give less of a stuff about anything, so i do a boot scan and avast detects our favorite man : 12 in one forget up (what i like to call this little piece of stuff) and removes it, afterwards i use cc-cleaner to get rid of the remnants, and litteraly, for the next 2 weeks, im running fine, its exactly like how it acted before i got it, however, by the end of next week, it starts going back to what it does best, now this keylogger not only monitored me, but it forgeted my computer up, so today is what the title describes :

ill be backing up files to my external hard drive and (probably) re-installing windows to a completely fresh state (which you guys wont be able to see) and you guys watch me do this on join.me :
https://join.me/113-603-695

so, come and watch the painstaking process of me having to get rid of this stuffty loving virus's destruction for good

holy forgetîng stuff this is the best OP to a computer problem ever

>backing up files to external hard drive
>computer is infected

yeah k

>backing up files to external hard drive

yeah k

its just the windows files itself, and not anything like images or stuff

Better off not backing up your system. They hide themselves as explorer.exe, svchost.exe, etc, and most are hidden inside the windows install. You will just be restoring the virus all over again.

the back up i have is like, when i first got my computer though, so im pretty sure its not on there

i think you should just completely wipe your hard drive

you're doomed :c

You should have not done this progress on the infected machine. There is no guarantee that the files you just "backed up" are not infected, or the process of you backing up the files did not trigger a alarm for the virus to also infect your other files.

maxx is acting really spergy as per usual

ive ran like, 30 scans, it got rid of it a long time ago and its just probably hard drive failures/corruptions

I would have bought a new computer by now
