Author Topic: Cat will not come out from under the bed  (Read 1932 times)

Leave out an offering of tuna. Just don't masturbate with the jar when you're done.

What do you know about his life prior to being moved to your place? Age? Pet shop, or adopted from shelter? Was he with siblings?
Any other changes, anything at all, other than new living area?
Did anything happen to the cat between decide cat is wanted > take cat home

Just leave the cat there and make food available.

If it doesn't come out, then it probably hates/is scared of both of you.

well no stuff but we should try to figure out WHY he's afraid

I dont know anything about his history but he is about 3 years old.

Is he declawed? Every cat I've ever seen that was declawed spent a lot of time hiding
(Whereas almost every cat I've ever seen that wasn't declawed was very friendly)

Maybe he's a super cat and it is afraid of the recent solar flare.

you can't really know, lol.

just leave him be for a while, some cats want to hide until they're used to their new home

update: he came out.
of the closet?
"stuff dude, sorry for staying under the bed for so long, I was just afraid of other people, since I y'know came out and told everyone I was gay"

Reach under the bed and grab it. Be a man.

cats are usually big babies when it comes to new homes. seriously my kitten wouldn't come out of the guest room for the first week
