I still enjoy occasionally going around and playing what other people are hosting. Probably the most recent thing I really enjoyed doing was playing some Jazz on Electrk's server.

I Can Remember Back when Me & My Brother Bladen Played the Bedroom Map. We Had a Add-on With Guns. They Had Ammo. I remember when He was Yelling at me to STOP! Whenever I shot Him when He was building. Good Times. XD

Electrk or someone he knows made it. It's private as far as I know.

It's also not really releasable since the sound files it adds makes the server download take about an hour.

i remember very fondly seeing a youtube video of a server with a bunch of mods and i got the game and i was like "where are all of the cool miniguns and helicopters at?"

as this account hints, i first start playing in mid 2008, and bought a bit over a year later. i joined a random server hosted by Amade, which was a fort wars on the Kitchen if i remember right.
i don't see myself stopping any time soon

I first played in the second half of 2008. I only played the demo and single player for a while before coming online. I remember going to a server (I think hosted by Ephialtes) and it was a carnival based freebuild in the early days, but I don't know what my first server was.
