I think I've found my perfect build, can anyone give me some feedback before I buy it?

Ouch, only an R7 250x?

Seems wrong that's the best you can get for a $600 build.

Because the OEM is $20 cheaper?
you might as well just go all the way

i made a different build for you.

its p decent, take it if you want.

the original build in the op is kinda weak though.

OEM is restrictive though.

The only difference is that OEM doesn't give you free support from Microsoft, because it's intended for manufacturers, and for you to have support through them
If you want to pay $20 more for that when any online forum could help you, then go for it lol. Your money

you can also call microsoft to reactivate windows for you, even with OEM, even with a new motherboard. you're not supposed to but they don't care. there's no reason to not buy OEM unless you need it for a stuffload of computers and then you'd probably want volume licensing

The download version of windows 8.1 Full is $107. That's only like 7 bucks more than the OEM version http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832416786&cm_re=windows_8-_-32-416-786-_-Product
I'd rather get the full version and have security knowing I could reinstall it on a new motherboard and get free microsoft support than "risking" not getting those features at all with the OEM version, for 7 dollars less.

OEM restricts you to having it installed on one motherboard. If you wanted to swap your motherboard or install it on a new computer you'd be boned.

Wrong.
This was the case for Windows 7 (although I swapped motherboards myself with a Windows 7 OEM copy, with no issues), but for Windows 8, which he's buying, you can swap whatever hardware you want

So would you guys recommend this instead of the original?

I think the one he made is slightly nicer. But I would keep the same motherboard from your build in the OP, the downgrade isn't needed.
