The votes are being counted
I predict most of the votes will be no and life will continue as always.

Sorry, should've been 80-90%.I'm sorry that Harm made the claim that his country was directly defending the UK, when it wasn't involved in our own issue with terrorism.
I can acknowledge that my country had, and still has difficulty with terrorist bombings.
I forget the US are so great at it. I certainly remember when they stopped that marathon from being bombed.I'm not the one who wandered in claiming to defend the UK.
Of course you have military facilities in Europe and the Atlantic, but you're not the only people that do, idiot.

By the way, it's not just English leftwingers who criticise the US and their gun culture. The rightwing parties do too, as do plenty of other political parties and countries.

And for being such a great and proud country there's certainly enough bitching coming about whenever another country criticises you.

When the British lands of the US that were confiscated in your revolution are returned to the UK we'll be sure to do so.
On serious note:
I'd gladly cut back defense spending. I'm tired of my country throwing billons of dollars and military personnel for defense purposes.

I'm tired of:
"WTF AMERICA! WHY ARE YOU INVADING IRAQ? WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU!"
"WTF AMERICA! WHY AREN'T YOU STOPPING CIA!"
"WTF AMERICA! STOP DRONE STRIKING CIVILIANS!"
"WTF AMERICA! RUSSIAN JUST STOLE CRIMEA!"

NATO is a in a pathetic state it has pretty become the "call the dumb americans solve are problems" button.

British Ownership of the Americas:
My mixed ancestry disagrees

Glasgow has let the nation down.

It only had a turnout of 75% of it's registered voters.
Which on a serious note isn't good for either campaign, as Glasgow is the largest voting region in Scotland. Everyone will be looking forward to findings in Glasgow as they could turn the tide on either side.

scotland can't survive on its own for long

after its oil reserves dry up, it'll be broke

They are becoming an independently governed nation, not cutting themselves off from the world.

I bet you anything there gonna push this vote every year till they get a yes.

they can't do that

Well to be successful you have to have good diplomatic relations and the ability to trade goods, commodities, and resources.

Look at Ireland and North Korea.

I think my favourite silly argument I heard in the last 2 years of Scottish campaigning, was the idea that if Scotland gains independence, they would (for some reason) keep all the British Military bases and soldiers stationed in Scotland.

Because they swore allegiance to Scotland, not the Queen and the UK, obviously.

I bet you anything there gonna push this vote every year till they get a yes.
There's no obligation for anyone to give them another referendum.
They can't demand one. And the major parties are trying to calm them all down by promising further devolution of powers (which I don't personally agree with).

In part, the entire reasoning behind this referendum being given was because Cameron was hoping that he'd satiate Scottish Nationalism and bring around some votes to the Conservatives come the next General Election.

Orkney Islands said no

No obligation to give them another... what??

Last time I checked, they decided to put the vote up on their own accord.
If the UN was at near bribing level, I doubt the had to give an "okay" for them to start the poll.

the vote looks like it's in favour of no anyway, I'm curious what'll happen after this
like riots or more power in scotland

From what I heard, the UN is going to give them more powers over themselves to try and prevent this from happening.
