Author Topic: My grandmother fractured a vertebra in her back  (Read 785 times)

My mom told me when I was leaving school that my grandmother had to be taken to the ER from being hurt while exercising. Just a little while ago, my mom got an update that she fractured one of the vertebrae in her lumbar spine and is in a lot of pain. Recovery will take about eight weeks. She is still rather "young" though relatively speaking. Its not like I have an 80 year old frail grandmother who will be confined to a nursing home.

Nevertheless, I hope she gets better soon.

I hope she recovers from her injury quicker than expected.

did she do a backflip
I regret laughing at this.

Hope she gets better soon

was she doing mad tricks

did she forget up her rad ollie?

seriously though, that sucks. hope she gets well soon

All I heard was that she fell. I was taken back (no pun intended) at first when my mom said she fractured a vertebra exercising, but falling sounds more logical as well.

you took her back?!
no wonder it's broken

you took her back?!
no wonder it's broken

Yeah she's no longer a Chordate

Ouch. I hope she gets better soon!

My grandfather recently broke his leg. Hard enough since his muscles are slowly deteriorating and he already had a hard enough time walking.

At least he broke it in a hospital.

I think she broke it at home. My grandfather rushed her to the hospital and called my uncle while driving (which he normally would never do) so my mom and uncle knew something was definitely wrong.
