I got PM'ed from Pecon. I copy his the qoute to paste this topic. He will explain about download counter for your add-ons download counter.

What Download Counter is?
You made of your own add-ons, when a people download the add-ons, so you want to know how many you got counts of download from the people, so You will check out how many you have download counts.

You have follow to Pecon's instruction below the quote.

Pecon
I saw the thread about download counters, and I decided to make one to test my PHP skills.

It's fully functional, but not ready to be released because the template image is a placeholder.

Example counter:

Click on this link to increment that counter, and then be sent to the download page.

I want thank to Pecon doing for this.

It might be a good idea for someone to make a website dedicated to tracking add-on downloads, and then having an image in the OP showing the current dl count. Similar to what Pecon did. It could use a redirect page for the counter, and then remember the link to dl the add-on and go to the actual site after. Although, it might be off slightly since not every may download, but it'll at least give a good idea.

Pretty sure that's what this does.

Doesn't it redirect to another page on Pecon's site? i can't tell because McAfee blocks the page. If so, there should be a way to set a custom redirect link, and have a counter with custom ID.

No, it will redirect to whatever URL you specify when you create it.
The counter's ID is assigned automatically when you create it, there isn't much reason to let the user specify it.

I'm planning on making my own thread when this is actually finished. This wasn't supposed to be posted prematurely.

Just make a new one that is the right template. There isn't really a feasible limit on how many of these can be made, feel free to make as many as you want.

Why cut the download button off?

Why cut the download button off?
There were actually two download buttons, one with both rounded edges, and one with just one.
I thought this one looked the nicest.

But the other one is more nostalgic because it's the one RTB used.
