Author Topic: How do you play your platformers/emulated retro games?  (Read 2263 times)

emulation is ok, piracy is not

How do you guys usually play those kind of games?

Do you use (my preferred) Z (b) X (a), UDLR (arrows, dpad), q (l), w (r), enter (start), and shift (select)?

or do you use some foreign method

arcade stick and/or gamepad

thanks for the method

what games should I emulate now

Keyboard for complexity such as NES controllers, actual gamepad for things like N64

N64 USB adapter for almost every game. I get pretty clever with the keymapping

I only really play GBA games on an emulator, so Z and X.

I have a hard time playing any emulated game with a keyboard lol.
Gotta go gamepad or the original thing if possible.

keyboard

z,x, up, down, left, right (udlr)

SNES controller when possible, otherwise Xbox 360 controller

360 controller.  That thing is GOAT.

I got me a Logitech f310 gamepad, which is basically an xbox controller, but with stick placement like dualshock.

I played through Mega Man X and X2 with this thing. Iss gud.

Plus, you can bind all of the buttons perfectly to snes games because of the button placement.
