Author Topic: Animal Abuse at World’s Largest Pizza Cheese Supplier  (Read 4472 times)

While I agree with many things, such as this type of abuse being wrong, this had me until the vegan bullstuff.

I'm still going to eat cheese and drink milk, but hopefully this stuff will be fixed.

I don't understand how its illegal to hurt a dog or a cat but this stuff is fine. I love milk, cheese, and meat, and I'd like to keep eating them while knowing that at the very least these animals were treated with some dignity and respect before they were slaughtered.

This is what happens when companies that deal with animals get too big to actually care.

Outside of that, those videos don't mean anything to me. Beef is beef, milk is milk, cheese is cheese.
The only issue in place is torture, however not eating those products isn't going to solve stuff. Denounce them for animal cruelty, the animals will produce milk and be slaughtered for meat either way, and opposing that instead of the actual torture is stupid.

well, yeah, it would. that's the whole idea behind boycotting, which works

We are talking about, globally, billions of people that eat meat.
And plenty millions that eat pizza.

Also wasn't every single case where a fast food company is denounced, always for animal cruelty at suppliers?
Except that horse meat scandal - except it was fine and it was all good and delicious until someone told them it's horse meat. At that point people just lost their stuff even though they considered the meat good either way, but suddenly because they knew it's horse they were like "Oh no my morals".

aaand if those people stopped eating those products, the company would behave

Well if we shut them down this will happen again. stuff like this happens everywhere, sometimes we just get caught.

We are talking about a change.org petition of 100 thousand people, with about 1 million behind that don't even agree with it and won't stop eating those products, and more than 1 billion behind that will eat meat and consume milk either way.

We'll forget all about this in a couple days and go right back to pizza-movie nights

the petition and the video aren't really related. the petition is just about telling the company to stop

at least, I thought so, until I checked the actual petition that would be sent to those people. which adds an entire section that the summary didn't even mention

Still think we're failing to see the stupidity of a government that doesn't regulate the treatment of these animals but would flip a stuff if you abused or neglected a dog.

these companies give the government a lot more money than you and I do

It's not about you having a different opinion, but on how you're conveying it.
oh, i'm sorry i don't feel like compensating for your baby sensibilities
