Wait, there's a hat update?

What did I miss?
Quite a bit apparently.

Since the topic is too old for me to quote him directly.

I'm honestly glad Rotondo confirmed it, but they should really take their time with it. Besides, they really don't owe us anything, really.

Either way, TF2 + Blockland, oh my jeebus.

^that was a joke.

Yes they're still being worked on.

Also this is why we tend to avoid posting about updates unless we have a concrete timeframe for them.

At this point I'm just glad to see any kind of development aknowedged despite how long it takes to implement. Take your time.

i honestly couldnt care less if hats were added

and frankly i dont want them to be

am i seriously the only one

More player customization is always nice, I think.

Im just curious how hats will affect physics. Hopefully they wont be rediculously huge hats, like a tophat or something. That could stick through walls and potentially affect the game. (Like TDM's, I mean.)

I'm guessing they will stick through walls the same way as the current hats do, and I doubt they will affect the player's collision box or whatever it's called

it's not like they ever left, you guys just complain way too much

So by a compatibility breaking update you mean like current addons and stuff like saves won't be compatible?

"Compatibility breaking update"

Sounds like RTB2 all over again.

Also, TF2 hatless update anyone?

I wonder what badspot means by compatibility

Server compatibility, networking in other words.

As you can imagine these type of updates can cause a variety of issues.

All your add-ons and other content are fine.

are we not going to be able to just host a server without port forwarding
