"So there’s a lot of news going around right now about a site, Emmayouarenext dot com, threatening to leak supposed nude photos of Emma Watson due to her speech about feminism. It’s also been connected, somehow, to 4chan and people, given the events of The Fappening and #GamerGate, are quick to jump on and point to this as proof of 4chan’s misogyny. Those dastardly anons are so against equality and hate women so much that they’ll threaten Emma Watson over a reasonable speech.
Well I, and many other 4chan users, believe that this is not the case.
Anons immediately became suspicious and started investigating Emmayouarenext. What they found is that it’s hosted on the same server as a site for Rantic, a supposed marketing firm that just last month was in the news for supposedly being hacked by 4channers because Rockstar was supposedly cancelling the PC version of GTAV and Rantic does marketing for Rockstar North. The thing is the only source for this connection between Rantic and Rockstar is Rantic themselves (via their site) and everything going back to the original article claiming it as fact.
The site that broke the “Rantic hacked by 4chan” story is FoxWeekly, a site that seemed to spring up out of nowhere. Rantic’s site was also found to have actually been down for around a year before the article last month about it being hacked. FoxWeekly also broke this Emma Watson story and it and Rantic seem to have a very cozy relationship.
It was also found that Rantic’s twitter account, @RanticMarketing, has only 10 tweets but 220k followers, most of which seem to be spambots.
Consider, too, this story from the site Buzzcarl.

What this means is that Emmayouarenext, Rantic and FoxWeekly are all owned by this spammer/hoax group. This means that the threat of Emma Watson nudes being leaked because 4chan was mad about her speech on feminism is almost assuredly fake; an attempt to create a viral hoax while using 4chan’s already low reputation and having its spambot “followers” spam the story all over social media."
