Author Topic: Does anyone actually type using the home keys format?  (Read 2615 times)

i remember they use to teach us to type like this back in elementary school but i came up with my own way of typing.

so does ANYONE here actually use this type of typing?

what is this home keys format? I rest my fingers on asdf and hjkl or jkl; like most people who do touch typing.

my fingers just magnetize towards whatever key is the closest/most comfortable.

so, not really.

no. i can usually find them without needing the home key format. and even if i need to look i just have to glance at the key vaord for a split second

the forget is home keys?

forget. maybe i should learn it

Somewhat. I can get a bit above 100 wpm if I practice.

  • I never have to look

I have no idea what are you talking about but I am around 120-130 WPM, can get more on TypeRacer. 10FastFingers is not that good because there's no logical connection between words, and I really think that would help.

Yes
I lean heavily on context and muscular macros, as it were.
