Also, the fact that I have an anime girl as an avatar is completely unrelated to my views on gravity falls. I am part of the target audience for the animes I like. The majority of people on this forum are the same. Gravity falls is targeted towards children, just the same way MLP is, and it's gained an overrated and unintended-audience cult following.

Well, the show's target audience is children. So seeing a large number of people who the show isn't targeted to liking it is surprising to me. Though, since the whole deal with MLP, i'm starting to realize that the TV show interests of teenagers and adults these days are changing considerably.

I've been exposed to it, but I haven't been immersed in it. I don't watch TV much, and the shows that I do watch are ones that already ended their runs and are on Netflix.
