People in America curiously browse over to Southwest Asia. The war becomes slight talk; more of a "who's going to win?" type scenario, but some worry about communist China aiding the Viet Minh.

might as well set the tone in case some of you are unfamiliar with the cold war: the european powers are in heavy debt due to world war 2. this catalyzes imperial decisions to liquidate overseas claims in africa and asia, so keep that in mind.

nations such as belgium, portugal, france, the netherlands, and great britain will eventually need to let go of their beloved empires if they want to stay afloat.

similar to the soviet acquisition of atomic weapons and china's completion of the revolution, the marshall plan is in effect. this makes it an american responsibility as police of the world to give aid to any non-communist nations

Other grants will be made later for other parts of the world, however, all countries are allowed to take loans in order to gain more money, even alongside the grants.

The first countries to recieve economical aid are, in amount-descending order:
1) United Kingdom
2) France
3) Italy
4) West Germany (other economical and industrial support programs are under way, reducing the needed grants from this program)
5) Netherlands
6) Austria
7-something) Other european countries not worth mentioning that were damaged in the war.

Additional aid will be provided in the coming years; those with the strongest industrial capabilities that still have a damaged internal industry, financial, and architecture will recieve a higher ranking and therefore a larger grant. Those who have gained a responsible amount of repair will be dropped with importance before the time of 1953. Europe is also expected to pick themselves up as well with their own programs.

forgot to mention before the advent of the malayan emergency, a conflict in malaysia between great britain and communist-nationalists in british malaya with aid from china

since saying "britain does x" all the time is really hark and gay, i might act as a prime minister in some situations, but for now-

Britain researches stealth from the espionage tree. It funnels troops into malaysia to help fight the war there but since the troops aren't used to fighting in that terrain, they suck.
Britain asks Australia to help it out with the atom bomb, it asks it to provide uranium and in future; a testing ground. Britain wants to give Australia military suport by giving them 20 Gloster Meteor jets to use, not disassemble.
